Coleccion Cotidiano
Our debut collection, Cotidiano, references and incorporates everyday materials, objects and experiences, and combines them with refined forms and elegant materials. Think corrugated roofing and industrial vinyl tarps juxtaposed with tropical hardwoods and handblown glass.
Each piece in the collection fuses functionality, elegant forms, material exploration, and playfulness.
We are currently rolling out the full collection and are adding new pieces to Cotidiano regularly. Please see the currently available pieces in Cotidiano below.
Coleccion Cotidiano
Gabinete Cotidiano combines sheets of undulating polycarbonate roofing, common in garages, warehouses, and workshops here in Mexico, with a frame made of tzalam, a sustainable tropical hardwood native to the Yucatan Peninsula. The resulting piece becomes a sculptural object that plays with transparency, mystery, and precision.
Revisiting the undulating form of corrugated roofing that define Gabinete Cotidiano, our credenza explores this form in sheet metal and the tropical semi-hardwood parota, known for its contrasting and irregular grain.
Solid glass gelatinas, so-called for their resemblance to the popular gelatin dessert, were once commonly used to protect floors. Our oil candle gives this classic shape a new life as the base for a blown glass sphere.
